RUFIN Claude
Claude RUFIN has arrived in Lebanon in September 2011 as Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Lebanon Bank S.A.L. (Bank of Sharjah Group).
Claude starts his career in 1976 as teaching assistant at the Law University in Nancy, and then as a lawyer consultant for a french cabinet.
He joins Banque Nationale de Paris in 1982 in Lyon, and 4 years later Group’s General Inspection until 1991.
After that, he was appointed as General Manager of Banque Nationale de Paris subsidiaries in Burkina Faso, and then in Senegal in 1994.
Back in Paris, he is in charge of BNP Network in South East Asia, and in 1996 as Head of Corporate Banking for Asia Pacific.
In 2002, Claude joins BNPI Lebanon as Chief Executive Officer until 2006, and after that was appointed as General Manager of BNP Paribas Retail Banking in Russia.
In 2007, he was promoted as Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas in Lybia until 2010, and then was assigned as Senior Advisor of General Manager of Bank of Sharjah before coming back to Lebanon.
